Access Statement for Cleveland
Firstly, What is an Access Statement?
An Access Statement is a written, clear, accurate and above all honest description of our current facilities and the services we offer, to enable potential visitors to make an informed decision as to whether our accommodation meets their particular needs, especially from an access point of view.
From April 2007, an Access Statement is required as part of the quality grading assessment of the Tourist Inspection Scheme.
Introduction
We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home-based 2 bedroomed bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.
Overview
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
No marked bays, but there is ample room for all guests' cars.
• Office telephone number and mobile telephone number displayed externally.
• 7 paved steps, each 1.7cm high, up from car parking area to level paved area 1.70 m wide. Further 6 paved steps, each 1.7 cm high, up to level paved area 4.20 metres by 3.50 metres.
• The front door has a step of 8.5cm high. Main Entrance and Reception Area • On entry, there is a hallway 1.77 wide metres by 5.15 metres long. • On arrival, guests are required to complete our registration form and are then shown to their rooms and our facilities are explained. • Oak floor boards with rugs.
Public Areas – Breakfast Room
• Breakfast is served in the guest dining room on the ground floor. There are no steps.
• There are 2 separate breakfast tables, each with 2 chairs without arms.
FRONT BEDROOM
• Oak wood flooring.
• King size (1.5 metres/5' wide) bed with sheets and blankets.
REAR BEDROOM
• Oak wood flooring.
• King size (1.5 metres/5' wide) bed with sheets and blankets. Additional Information • Mobile phone reception is generally good. • We have wi-fi internet access. • We are able to use the front and back doors in the need of evacuation. If you require more assistance for evacuating, please notify us on arrival e.g. hearing impairment. • We are happy to refrigerate any medication. • We are pleased to cater for special diets or any particular likes or dislikes. Please advise us of these before your arrival. • We are a no smoking establishment. • Exclusively for adults only.
We are unable to accept under 18s (including babies) or pets.

Hours of operation: Hours flexible to business. We do take occasional days off, but generally we are open all year except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The B&B is
our home so is occupied 24 hours.
